Shillong: The ICAR-CIFRI, RC Guwahati, in collaboration with the Department of Fisheries, conducted a Distribution of feed programme on January 10, 2025 at the Training Hall of the Office of the Technical Assistant, Superintendent of Fisheries, Ri-Bhoi District.
Sr. Scientists Dr. P. Das and Dr. S.C.S Das, presented lectures on the importance of formulated feed for fish culture and methodology on how to feed fish. They are also accompanied by S. Dungdung.
The Sr. Scientist also informed that if there are entrepreneurs who are interested in the retail business of fish feed should come forward and all assistance regarding to purchase will be provided.
The Department of Fisheries, welcome and thank, ICAR-CIFRI, RC Guwahati for conducting such kind of programme of feed distribution and requested if other Districts can also be included in such programmes.
The programme included interaction with around 50 fish farmers from Ri-Bhoi District who participated in the training followed distribution of feed.
A total of 125 bags (5 tons) of formulated feed were distributed.
